A service recipe is a written plan for one service you sell: what it needs, how it is set up and checked, what the client gets each month, and how it ends.
What a recipe writes down
- What the service needs from you and from the client.
- How it is set up, and how you check that it works.
- What the client gets each month, and what costs extra.
- What it costs to run, how it renews, and how it ends.
Why write it down
Selling a service is a promise you keep every month. If the promise only lives in a sales call, it changes over time. If it is written down, you and the client can check it at renewal, and you can tell when a service isn't ready to sell: no company to run it through, or no simple way to end it.
