What the Volant website stores and counts: a theme choice on your device, anonymous page counts, and what you give us in a form or an email.

This page covers the Volant website at volant.app, run by Seed Blocks Pty Ltd. It does not cover the Volant desktop app, which keeps your agency's records on your own computer.

What we don't collect

The site has no account. The only places we ask for details about you are the forms described below: the free guides, the waitlist and the contact form. We don't use advertising or social media trackers, and the site itself sets no cookies.

What your browser keeps

If you choose a light or dark theme with the switch at the bottom of each page, your browser remembers that choice on your device, under the name volant-theme. It is never sent to us. Choose the system setting again and it is removed.

What we count

To see which pages are useful and how people reach the download page, the site records simple events: a page was viewed, a main button was pressed, the download page was viewed, a download was started, a guide was viewed, or a guide's PDF was downloaded.

Each event holds only:

  • the kind of event and the page path, without anything after a ? or #;
  • where the visit came from: the name of the referring website, or the campaign tags in the link you followed, or "direct";
  • the time.

We don't store your IP address, a cookie or any other identifier with these events, so they can't be tied to you or joined into a history of your visits. They are kept in our own database and not shared with or sold to anyone.

When you ask for a guide

To get a free guide, you give us your email address and, if you like, your first name. We email you the guide with a private download link that works for 7 days.

With each request we store:

  • your email address, and your first name if you gave it;
  • which guide you asked for;
  • whether you ticked the newsletter box, and which version of the form wording you saw;
  • where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you followed, or the name of the referring website;
  • the time.

We keep guide requests until you ask us to delete them.

When you join the waitlist

To join the waitlist, you give us your first name and email address and, if you like, what you do. We email you a link to confirm your address, which works for 7 days. You're on the list only once you press it.

With each signup we store:

  • your first name and email address, and what you do if you told us;
  • which version of the form wording you saw;
  • where you came from: the page you signed up on, the campaign tags in the link you followed, or the name of the referring website;
  • when you signed up, and when you confirmed.

If you don't confirm, we delete the signup 30 days after you made it. Once you've confirmed, we write to you when Volant is ready, and we keep your signup until you ask us to remove it or the waitlist closes. Joining the waitlist doesn't add you to the newsletter. To leave, reply to any email from us or send a message from the contact page.

When you contact us

When you send a message through the contact form, we store your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message, the page you sent it from and the time. When you email support@volant.app, we store who it came from, the subject, the text and the time. We send you a short email to say your message arrived, and we reply by email.

We delete messages 24 months after they arrive, or sooner if you ask.

The newsletter

Asking for a guide or joining the waitlist doesn't sign you up to anything else. If you tick the newsletter box on a guide form, we send a separate email asking you to confirm, and you join only when you press the confirm link. If you don't confirm within 7 days, the request is ignored.

For each subscriber we keep a record of when you asked to join, which form wording you saw, where you signed up (for example, which guide) and when you confirmed. Every newsletter has a link to leave the list. Leaving stops all newsletters, and we keep a note that you left.

Keeping the forms free of spam

We never store your IP address. To stop a form being sent over and over, we keep a scrambled code made from it that can't be turned back into the address, for 10 minutes, and delete it within a day. To check that a person sent a form, the site uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at signals from your browser under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

We also log each email we send (who it went to, the subject, the time and whether it was sent), so pressing a button twice sends only one email.

The services we use

Like any website, pages are delivered through a hosting provider, Cloudflare. To deliver a page, it has to receive the usual request details, such as your IP address and browser type, and it handles them under its own privacy policy. It may also set its own technical cookies, for example to protect the site from abuse. We don't receive or keep those details in the events described above.

Emails about guides, confirmations and your messages are sent through Cloudflare's email service, and mail to support@volant.app arrives through it too. The newsletter is sent through Resend. Each receives the email address and the content it needs to deliver that email.

Your requests

To see what we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, email support@volant.app or send a message from the contact page with the topic "Privacy request".

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page will change first, and the date on this page will say when.
