Accounts in your name

Accounts in your name are the accounts your agency signs up for and pays for itself, such as email, domains, phone numbers and payments, instead of a software company holding them for you.

Definition

What it means

Your mailbox, calendar, domains, phone numbers, bots, social media accounts and payment account are in your name. You sign up with each company, you pay them directly, and you can keep the account if you change tools.

Why it matters

If a tool holds the main account, leaving the tool can mean losing the number your clients call or the domain their site runs on. Holding the accounts yourself means you can take your agency with you.

In Volant

Your phone numbers, bots and accounts stay yours, and so do their bills. The one exception is the voice and chat service: it runs on Volant's own account with the provider, so you don't need to set up your own.
