Version history
Version history is a saved list of every earlier version of something, such as a website, so you can see what changed, compare two versions and go back to any of them.
What it means
A website changes many times before launch. Version history keeps each of those versions, with a number and a date, instead of only the latest one. You can open an older version, compare it with the newest, and put it back if a change goes wrong.
It also lets you and the client talk about the same thing. "Version 4" means one exact website, not whichever link happens to be at the top of their messages.
An example
A bakery owner opens an old preview link on her phone and replies "looks great, go ahead". With version history, you can see she was looking at version 2, from before the price change, and ask her to check version 4 before anything goes live.
Why it matters
When your AI agent builds the site, it can make many changes quickly. Keeping every version means nothing is lost, and what goes live is the version the client actually approved.
